Dr Hetal Shah - Dentist
"Nothing is more rewarding to me, than bringing a smile on the face of an anxious patient. I aim to treat every patient like I would like being treated, and it brings me pleasure to win the faith of my patients. You don't need to be a millionaire to afford a beautiful smile and a healthy mouth; you just need to know your options.”
Dr Hetal Shah graduated as a Dentist in Bombay, India in 2001. She moved to Australia in 2008 to widen her professional and personal horizons. Since then she has created a strong reputation for herself in Newcastle as a passionate and skilful general dentist.
Hetal is known for her gentle and caring manner. With her constant aim to provide painless treatment, Hetal wins the trust of her patients time and time again. Hetal personally involves herself in making sure her patients are at ease, and are given all the options to achieve a healthy and comfortable mouth. She firmly believes that the mouth is the doorway to the body and takes time to educate her patients on the interrelationship of the mouth and the rest of the body.
Hetal is passionate about her work, and takes pride in her rapport with her patients and colleagues. She is currently studying a fellowship in dentistry – a two-year commitment to ensure patients are being treated with the latest research and techniques.
Michelle (Shelly) Wiltshire – Dental Hygienist
"Building patient rapport and trust is crucial for a positive dental experience. Along with this, my aim is to provide optimum oral health and well-being to my patients. Nothing is more beautiful than to see a person smile and knowing you are the reason behind it."
Born and raised in Newcastle, Shelly entered the dental industry as an assistant. In this time her passion for oral health grew and in 2015 she furthered her career by graduating from Newcastle University with a Bachelor of Oral Health.
Her friendly nature and gentle approach puts patients at ease when they come in to see her. Shelly is here to motivate and encourage her patients in the prevention, maintenance and treatment of periodontal disease. With scaling, polishing, fluoride treatments and oral health instruction being her main services, she can also provide dental x-rays, fissure sealants, teeth whitening, some basic orthodontics and make bleaching trays, mouthguards and occlusal splints.
Shelly is also very passionate about children and believes that early intervention is key to their overall growth, health and develoment. Children should start coming to the dentist as soon as possible as they transition from their baby teeth to their adult teeth. Regular visits will familiarise them with the environment and minimise any anxieties they may have. With Shelly's help, your children will develop a greater understanding of the importance of excellent dental habits.
In her spare time Shelly likes to stay fit training in crossfit and weight lifting as well as spending time with her friends and family.
